Justin has created visual art and instruments from found materials for many years. From assemblage to sculpture, light boxes to paintings, scavenged objects are the theme that connects them all. For his paintings, he uses new and reclaimed oils and acrylics on recycled plywood.
Justin employs a stream of consciousness method that gives him the freedom to place the brush with an open mind in geometric or formless, expressive movement. The choice to embellish, distort, reconfigure and bring into view different layers and ideas, all play together during his creative process. His subject matter is varied and he welcomes abstraction.
